CONFIRMATION AT UMCL

A unique and transformational journey!

WHY CONFIRMATION?

Although confirmation is not a must to be part of the church and have a personal faith, we believe it's a great opportunity for young people to dedicate 9 months to dive deeper into the Christian faith and to take a decision for themselves. A lot of times it works as an eye-opener and exposes students to an active faith, that is relatable and a God that is personal. Our goal is that confirmation will serve as a catapult for your child's faith and not a checkmark on their religious journey.

WHAT IS THE CONFIRMATION PROGRAM?

It Is a 9-month program integrated into the Youth Ministry at UMCL for all young people entering 8th grade.

It's not just a class. It's a time to have fun, to learn, to be challenged, to explore new ideas, and to grow closer to God.

During these months you will get to know other young people the same age as you are and on a similar journey of faith. You will be able to ask questions, find answers, and experience being part of the church as a whole! It's a great experience of faith designed for young people!

WHAT TO EXPECT?

The Confirmation Program at UMCL is integrated into the overall Youth Program! This is to help the integration of our confirmands with the overall ministry of the church, youth group and to avoid an isolated program.

This year our plan is to go back to all the main activities we used to have, like a confirmation retreat, a Winter Retreat, different worship visits, and lots of fun events.
